Thickness Measurement of Hull Structures
Lonestar is qualified in accordance with rules of the major classification authorities for thickness measurement of hull structure on vessels of all types, including tankers and bulk carriers.
Lonestar provides personnel qualified to ASNT Level II requirements in addition to a rigorous in house training program. An ASNT Level III supervises the training and certification program. All thickness measurement personnel attend specialized training sessions on the latest requirements set forth by the various classification societies.
Hull Structure Evaluation & Reporting
Lonestar collects and analyzes data electronically. From data logging ultrasonic sets to full color sketch and report preparation, our reports are accurate, clear and concise. Calculations are always conducted in computerized spreadsheets. All forms required by the classification societies are pre-programmed for rapid report generation. IBM compatible data disks of readings are provided, on request in Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access Format. Rapid evaluation and reporting allows competitive pricing of our measurement services.
All Lonestar, senior staff has several years experience in hull structure thickness measurement at the largest ship-docking yard in the Middle East. Their knowledge of ship repair and renewal methods provides a beneficial service to our clients. Lonestar can, on request, coordinate with the surveyor to provide detailed renewal plan drawings.
Lonestar provides qualified personnel to carryout pit mapping of bottom platting, inspection and pit mapping on Cargo Lines, Marspec surveys, condition assessment program surveys, Life Extension program surveys, Annual, Intermediate and Special Surveys.
In addition, riding squads are available to travel with the vessel anywhere to carryout gauging during the voyage, thus providing information of any repairs required prior to entering dockyard.
